Reflexology

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology has its foundations in the old and new world.  Illustrations in China, Japan, Russia and Egypt show these civilisations worked on the feet to promote good health.  In 1917 Dr. William H. Fitzgerald introduced the concept of modern reflexology with the theory of 'Zone Therapy'.  He discovered that he could relieve pain in other parts of the body by working the corresponding 'zone' in the feet or hands.

It is an ancient Eastern technique to help balance the body's energy level, stimulating your own body's mechanism to heal itself from pain.  This massage is performed primarily on the hands, feet and head which is where some of the nerve endings are located.  The basic principle is to reduce tension and facilitate the flow of blood to the affected area.  Reflexology according to its followers simulates the flow of energy as well as revitalizes the entire body.

While this technique is therapeutic it is also very relaxing.  You will feel more energy and less pain.
